Woman swimming in Ohio River visits Tri-State
CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A woman who is swimming the Ohio River from Pittsburgh to Cairo, Illinois is in the Tri-State for the next few days.
Mimi Hughes, 54, of Tennessee, is swimming the river to raise awareness on improving education for women.
Hughes began her swim on May 22 and will conclude it in Illinois July 17. She tries to swim about 20 miles a day.
On Thursday morning, she made her way into Clermont County. She is being escorted by Boone County Water Rescue while she is in the Tri-State.
