Kasich announces appointment to the Clermont County Common Pleas Court | News
COLUMBUS, OH (FOX19) - Governor Kasich announced the appointment of James A. Shriver to serve as Judge of the Clermont County Common Pleas Court, Probate/Juvenile Division.
Shriver will assume office on July 1, 2013, and must run in November 2014 to retain the seat for the full term, commencing February 9, 2015. Shriver is replacing Judge Stephanie Wyler, who retired.
Shriver received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati, and earned his juris doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Since 1995, he has served as Judge of the Clermont County Municipal Court.
Shriver is a member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, where he has served on the Administrative Council and Building Study Committee since 2012. He is actively involved in the Union Township Kiwanis and the Clermont County Special Olympics, and was the recipient of the Clifford Skeen Award for Excellence in Community Corrections in 2010.
