Clermont County families are invited to YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day

BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - A free community event is being held for Clermont County families at the YMCA.

YMCA's Healthy Kids Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 from 10am  - 12pm in order to get kids moving and learning, and families living healthier.

Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of families and to help them get a jump on creating a healthier summer. Clermont Family YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day will feature fun active play and educational activities that will inspire kids to carry a spirit of excitement and exploration throughout their summer, including gardening, library activities, and other low cost family friendly options for the summer.

NAMI Basics Class offered free to the community

NAMI Basics Class offered free to the community

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - NAMI Clermont County and NAMI Hamilton County,  area chapters of the National Alliance on Mental Illness has been holding their NAMI Basics classes since March 2.

NAMI Basics is a three day education program for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illness. The final class will be held on March 16 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Beech Acres Children’s Center.

The class uses a curriculum developed by the professional staff at NAMI’s national offices, and it is taught by volunteers who have successfully completed NAMI’s teacher training program and who have a family member with mental illness themselves. Recent studies have shown the class to be effective in helping families cope with the mental illness of their family member.

Easter Bunny hopping into Eastgate Mall on Saturday

EASTGATE, OH (FOX19) - The Easter Bunny is ready to hop into Eastgate Mall beginning Saturday, March 9.

Children of all ages are invited to have their photo snapped with the Bunny at EastGate Mall in the JCPenney Court, at the newly designed Easter set.

“We’re excited to welcome the Easter Bunny back to a newly designed home at EastGate Mall,” says Ashley May, Regional Marketing Specialist for EastGate Mall. 

“There’s no better way to get ready for spring than a fantastic photo with our huggable Bunny.”

The Easter Bunny will be available for visits and photos starting Saturday, March 9, through Saturday, March 30, Monday through Sunday, during all mall hours.  EastGate Mall is closed on Easter Sunday.  All children who visit the Easter Bunny will receive a coloring sheet – with great offers from The Children’s Place, Dairy Queen | Orange Julius, and The Cookie Store.
