YWCA Rising Stars ready to take to the skies
CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The YWCA of Greater Cincinnati says the 2011 class of the YWCA Rising Star Leadership Program has now graduated.
With a mission to “Eliminate Racism and Empower Women,” the YWCA continues to help develop the future leadership of the Greater Cincinnati region with this auxiliary to the Career Women of Achievement program.
The YWCA Academy of Career Women of Achievement created the Rising Star program in 2002 as a way to mentor and support younger women (ages 25 – 40) in pursuit of excellence in their careers. Nominated by YWCA Academy and YWCA Board members, YWCA Rising Stars receive more than just the recognition from the award itself, but are then invited to participate in exclusive networking and social events sponsored by the YWCA.
