BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - Amelia High School will be holding the annual Top 25 Academic Signing on Wednesday, May 1 at their Performing Arts Center in Batavia.

This special event honors the top 25 students in the senior class by recognizing their academic achievements and the college they are planning to attend. 

Representatives from each college will be there to speak on behalf of the college and welcome the students. 

CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Earlier this month the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce hosted a membership luncheon featuring a state legislative update from legislators representing Clermont County.  Senator Joe Uecker and State Representatives John Becker and Doug Green each provided their observations and perspectives of current issues and then addressed questions together as a panel. Each legislator mentioned that the debate over Governor Kasich's proposed budget hasn't allowed much time to address other issues.

BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - Clermont County Municipal Court Judge James A. Shriver was appointed to Probate/Juvenile Court by Governor John R. Kasich earlier this month. Judge Shiver is currently serving his 18th year as Judge for the Municipal Court and will transition to his new position on July 1, 2013. “I am truly honored to be selected by Governor Kasich as the next Probate/Juvenile Court Judge for Clermont County,” stated Judge Shriver. “The position has a long tradition of high quality service contributed by judges who previously served on the county court bench (now known as the Clermont County Municipal Court) and I’m excited to bring my 18 years of experience dealing with youth into this new position.”
