AMELIA, OH (FOX19) - A Clermont County church is moving its services from a permanent building it owns in Amelia to the Holiday Inn Eastgate, where members set up and tear down the entire church every Sunday morning.

On Sunday, May 12, Connect Christian Church will celebrate its "Official Launch" by relocating its services to a popular area hotel.

Connect is a portable church, which means that a team of volunteers roll up in two 16-foot trailers hours before their 10:30 a.m. service every Sunday to unload and set up a complete custom system ready-made to turn a large banquet room and five adjoining rooms at the hotel into a modern church environment for adults and kids of all ages.

Clermont Co. sirens inadvertently activated

CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19)- All Clermont County hazard warning sirens were inadvertently activated at 10:15 on Thursday morning.

John Kiskaden, Director of Public Safety and Emergency Services, reports there was a malfunction of the siren transmitter located at the Union Township Communications Center.

"We were working on them and some type of malfunction occurred causing them to completely set off," explained Sgt. Mike Mills of Union Township Police.

Mills says the township had difficulty fully activating the sirens during Wednesday's monthly siren test and needed the assistance of Clermont County to activate the county-wide system. He says they were working on the system when the sirens were triggered. Union Township is in charge of activating the system for the drill every three months.

Bethel doctor closes practice without notice to patients

Bethel doctor closes practice without notice to patients

BETHEL, OH (FOX19)-

Several patients were left with the feeling of abandonment after a doctor's office suddenly closed without any notice.

Dr. Curtis Everson shut down the Bethel Urgent Care, located in the 700 block of W. Plane Road. The closure happened about a month ago without telling any of his patients.

The Bethel Police Department says they received several calls regarding Dr. Everson's whereabouts.

As a result, patients have been left wondering where they will get their prescriptions refilled, and how to retrieve their medical records.

"It's extremely strange. I've been seeing Dr. Everson for about nine years since I was pregnant with my oldest, and he had been seeming a little different lately, but the fact that he would disappear completely on his patients is just very strange to me," said Stephanie Jones, a patient of Everson.
