Seipelt Elementary receives ODE High Progress School of Honor

MILFORD, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio Department of Education named Charles L. Seipelt Elementary School a High Progress School of Honor, based on its 2011-2012 Local Report Card.

In March, Seipelt was also named an ODE School of Promise for closing the mathematics and reading achievement gap for students who represent a range of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.

“It is a huge honor to receive both awards from the state! The staff at Seipelt works collaboratively to design instruction and appropriate intervention for each individual student,” said Seipelt Principal, Melissa Borger. “Failure is not an option, success is for all.”

Of the 164 Schools of Promise identified earlier this year, only 44 in the state are also high-performing or high-progress schools.
